N-scale and other improvements
gWhen we cleaned out the garbage and extra stuff from the upper left corner of the train room, we found the room to add an N-scale layout to our train room. Now all of the trains in our train room represent the three most popular scales of model rairoading today. iPSama,,
We also took the liberty and made the media center better by moving the TV/VCR to the top of the kitchenette wall and added more seats to view railroad videos.

We found some pictures taken in during the last months of operations at Sand Patch Tower, which was closed and torn down in 2001. We decided to use the pics to display along with a brief history of Sand Patch Tower on the back wall of the train room. This is a great addition to the train room as it part of the railroading history of Meyersdale, PA.
The switch indicator board from Sand Patch Tower was saved and given to the Meyersdale Area Historical Society. Plans are to hang it on the wall as a static display. The electric switch machine that this board sat on top of in Sand Patch Tower was sent to Baltimore, MD.
The display cases will also have artifacts of rairoading's past here in the Meyersdale area
